The architect Cristina Casanovas was in charge of designing the new bathroom of this house located in the countryside. Integrated into the bedroom, the space is divided into three areas: the bathtub, the sink with the shower, and the dressing room, hidden behind curtains.

The bathroom and dressing room share space with the master bedroom, but are located on a higher level, which is accessed by three steps. The difference in height allows to leave the construction bathtub at ground level.

Polished Cement Bathtub

The design of the bathtub makes this space a real hammam Private use, which invites you to forget stress. The soils

To differentiate the rest area from the bathroom, two floors were used: on the floor of the bedroom a carpet of vegetable fiber was installed, very warm, and in the bathroom, polished cement.

The dresser

The doors were replaced by a screen and curtains; both hide the toilet from sight
as the interior of the dressing room.

Original structures

The bathrooms integrated in the bedrooms are infected with the usual serenity in the rest area. This retains the charm of the old structures, with the ceiling beams recovered and painted in white.

Bathroom divided into three areas

1. BATHTUB TO RELAX. Made of polished cement, the hammam bath occupies this area of ​​the bathroom after the master bedroom in which it is integrated. To delimit spaces, the two environments were located at different heights separated by three steps that act as a separating element between them.
2. LAUNDRY AND SHOWER. In front of the bathtub, a blown countertop was made, made of polished cement, which houses two sinks and wall taps. Then the shower and the toilet were placed, which is hidden behind a screen.
3. DRESSER. Next to the shower a wooden structure was made with drawers, shelves and bars that closes with curtains instead of doors.
